National Director of Public Policy

Train purpose driven leaders and aspiring leaders on grassroots mobilization that leads towards daily actions that inspire change.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Voice Up connects people to their purpose and is seeking a visionary National Director of Public Policy and Health Equity to lead our grassroots-to-government approach in shaping purpose-driven health policies. This position will transform how we approach health equity by starting with local communities and elected officials, building momentum at the municipal level, and strategically scaling successful initiatives to state leadership.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic policy expert with grassroots organizing experience who understands how to translate community needs into actionable policy. This role requires someone who can build relationships with city councils, county health departments, and local advocacy groups first, then leverage these successes to influence state-level decisions. You will create a replicable model where purpose-centered health initiatives gain traction through demonstrated community impact before expanding to broader policy adoption.

## MISSION IMPACT
As the National Director of Public Policy and Health Equity, you will expand Voice Up's global movement through a strategic "local-first" approach. Starting with 5-10 pilot communities across diverse regions, you'll build compelling local success stories that demonstrate the impact of purpose-driven approaches on community health outcomes. By working directly with mayors, city council members, county health officials, and community health workers, you'll create a groundswell of support that can then influence state legislators and health departments. This bottom-up strategy will help trailblaze a new approach to health equity that recognizes purpose connection as a critical factor in addressing health disparities while building the political capital necessary for broader adoption.
